Greek day for me - Greek pasta salad, full of good fresh veges and a "Giant" beans recipe. Also experimented with a new vegan macaroni and cheese recipe, but still can't get to the texture or anywhere near the taste of real cheese sauce. I have been close a few times, but still not there yet. The search goes on.

Still cold in this area today - feels more like mid winter than spring - although we didn't have the weather you got yesterday, Chookie, the ground here is white just now, so I doubt it will get too much warmer as the day goes on.
I am busy doing my usual weekend cooking to keep us going with dinners all week as well as giving the house a clean out as we are off to Italy for a week next Monday and we have people staying here in Guildford for the week whilst we are away.

You have a busy couple of days in front of you, Chookie. Enjoy it all.
So sorry to read that Masons is closing. We will have to make a point of getting over there before Xmas. I believe there is another excellent restaurant in Bendigo - I will have to track it down, but can anything top Masons???

Fantastic news, Cookie. I bet you are desperate to get your hands on your new 'home' and are looking forward to many holidays and happy hours spent in it.
I hadn't heard that Bank West was closing; banks are no longer there for their customers so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised - is that cynical of me?

I also noticed on the Seniors Week programme there was a presentation by Norman Swan - I must look into that one, I am sure it will be interesting.

I went out to do a bit of shopping today and picked up a brochure on the Seniors Festival which is held every year. I only had time to flip through it quickly and one particular event caught my eye ... a visit to a cemetery

The weather is so cranky at the moment, isn't it. You don't know how to plan ahead - one day it is cold, wet and windy with hail, the next day it is warm, then it is windy, then it is back to wet and miserable again ... you just cannot win!

Those storms were fierce. On top of all the power outages your suffered, it is lucky you didn't sustain damage to your home as well.

100% sounds pretty good to me, Chookie, but if you have any concerns it may be good to push further for more precise results - otherwise I would go for 100%

How did you get on connecting to myGov, Chookie? Hope you were successful
DH and one of our colleagues just spent c. 6 hours over the past couple of weeks connecting him to myGov and myGovID, it was a total nightmare, but the succeeded in the end.
My myGov is OK, but my myGovID is completely unobtainable - I have given up on it altogether.

Nagi's big easy pasta salad
Well, this is certainly BIG!!! Made it for dinner last night ... and tonight ... and tomorrow night!
Actually, it is really nice. I couldn't get my hands on basil, but used dill instead. DH thought it would be better made with penne as it is so slippery so you could slip it onto the fork's tines, but I don't know that penne would hold the dressing as well as the smaller shaped pastas. Still, will be making this again in the future.

It was 12 (very long, boring) days K Atie. I still have a bit of a cough and congestion, but nothing like I had during COVID

Definitely soups and stews weather - I love it - I don't need to think of something different to cook, just pull out my list of both alternatives and go for it. Warmer weather is always a challenge for me to think of interesting things to make.
For now, I haven't got the urge to cook back yet, but as the week goes by I am sure I will start prowling around the kitchen once again, recipe in hand, and pots and pans on the cooker!

Finally, I have had a negative RAT so back to my normal routine - rather tired, but good to be doing normal things again.
