Pork Spare Ribs from QFITM, plus fried rice and will also throw some lamb chops into the oven towards the end of cooking as I don't have enough pork.

Wonder, thanks for the heads up.  We need to design a house first, proving difficult. So nothing will happen in a hurry.  I had told DH I would like a pizza oven but it would mean building it a tandor looks a better option.

They're from www.tandoorliving.com.au. We keep debating whether to get one too ! Their recipes on their site are awesome !!

After watching Hally's progress with the Tandoor pizza's I just had to light ours and have some. No pictures but they were great. We didn't end up eating until very late because of the time it takes to come up to temperature, but it was worth it in the end. I also put a marinated chicken in the Tandoor once we finished the pizza and let it cook for about 2 hours as the oven was cooling down. The meat tastes great and DG has used it for his lunch today.

We love the tandor, we had lamb koftas from the tandor last night & tandori chicken tonight. I have frozen some tandori chicken for sandwiches & pizzas. Everytime we make the chicken we both say we should have made more. It freezes very well :)

Tomorrow night we fire up again :)

It takes a good hour to heat the oven. DH has done it, but I will do it saturday so I can light it weekdays before he gets home.

We hope to use 1-2 times per week.

I totally recommend purchasing one.

I rushed home from work to light ours only to be told i had to get DD to a friends place for a "burning of the books" ceremony after they all finihsed their exams yesterday and they all head off in various directions for schoolies. I did manage to light it but didn't put enough in and by the time we got back had to stock up the charcoal and wait another hour so it wasn't ready until after 8pm.

Hally, the meat does taste amazing and we have found freezes very well. The butter chicken reheats as though freshly made.
Which Tandoori chicken and lamb kofta recipe did you use?

I use the recipes from their webpage. Tandori no.2.

I have also used some recioes from the book & of course any of my own marinades.

Next week I am going to try t-bones in the tandor.
