Recipe Requests / Converting a recipe for TM31
« on: July 09, 2009, 02:35:41 pm »
I am very very new to this and have tried using the TM to make Nigella Lawson cookies. I use this recipe all the time using my Kenwood Chef but would love to use the TM to make the pastry. Can you help? I think I am confused because it asks for creaming the butter and sugar together and then add the flour and eggs.

this is the recipe

Nigella Lawson's cookie recipe

350 grms unsalted butter
400 gms caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
800 gms plain flour
40 Celophane bags

Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla extract using the Kenwood with K beater till white and creamy.
Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Add the eggs and the flour to the creamed mixture. Bind together to get a smooth dough. Leave in the fridge for about an hour. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut out the cookies and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 160°C for 15 minutes or until the edges turn light brown. Leave to cool before lifting off the baking tray.

Introduce Yourself / Hi from Gozo, Malta

Well now you will also find a Themomix in the little island of Gozo.
Up to 2 weeks ago I never heard of it. I attended a chocolate course where the Thermomix was being used. I wanted it straight away. Luckily one of the girls was the demonstrator and was able to arrange for one of the Thermomix to be sent over.
I am still playing with it and have not looked at it seriously but I hope to use it all the time if I can.
I have joined this forum to get a better idea of recipes and how to use the machine better.
