Just started In a New York Minute by Kate Spence.  Only on chapter 2 but it looks like it will be a nice light read.  I have just put The Siren's Call by Chris Hayes on my reading list - it looks like an interesting read.

Finally picked up our wardrobe from Ikea - it has been a long and involved process for some unknown reason, but all taken care of now.  DH was having a great time blasting around finding all the necessary components in the pick up area - I think I may have created a monster by letting him loose in there!

Welcome back,Judy, sounds like you had wonderfully restful and idyllic time while you were away.

I did a load of clothes shopping for our upcoming holiday - well, it seemed like a lot as I was in David Jones for 1 1/2 hours and was assisted by a lovely man selecting various items for me and trying them on (me trying them on, not him!) - in the end I came away with nothing but I then wandered into Myers and did manage to buy one pair of trousers so not a total loss.  Then on to JB HiFi to get a power bank for all the necessary electronic devices we now have to travel with.  Then back to Myers as I had forgotten underwear!  Back home for a break then on to Ikea to finalise our new wardrobe and had a very frustrating time arranging when we would pick it up as they do not hold items.  I thought it would be a straightforward arrangement but it became complicated.  I understand why the cannot hold anything for  you - can you imagine if someone came in ordering beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, etc. ... it would be a nightmare for Ikea to pick and store everything for any length of time.  Anyway, we eventually got that sorted out and I headed back home again totally shattered!

Felt like soup today but had nothing "soupish" in the house so invented peanut butter and cannellini bean soup - not too bad

Thanks Chookie.  I am happy to go with 2 tsps, it looks like a good option.

Thanks for your follow up.

I made the recipe at the weekend with 1 1/2 tsps and it seemed OK.  I just felt that the larger baking powder quantity would leave a taste in the cake.   Anyway, it worked OK with 1 1/2 tsps but, just out of curiosity I might make it again with 2 - 3 tsps and see what happens.

I think the recipe would be American, considering its source (Facebook)

I had a text from my consultant today to confirm that I wanted a 7.  Of course I said yes. 😀😀
... was there ever a chance you were going to say "No"?

For Xmas DH bought tickets to a Food and Wine Show long lunch at Babajis, an Indian restaurant in Warburton, so that is where we got to yesterday.  There were a good 100+ people there and the tables and chairs were all set up alongside the river.  A beautiful spot, an enjoyable meal and a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It looks like a nice recipe, Cookie, lots of tasty and healthy ingredients.  It seems to resolve the question I put on here earlier in the week about a recipe I had found, similar to this one, that asked for 1 tbs of baking soda - I had already resolved to make it 1 tsp and see how it goes.

What a cute wee budgie.  We used to have them when I was young - they always had the same name so there was always confusion if we referred to one of the earlier ones.

I made it to the Garden Show in the end  It has certainly bounced back since the last one I was at.  I couldn't get anywhere near any of the stands selling plants, unfortunately, but still managed to spend a good few dollars!
