Thanks Chookie, I asked as I thought others would like to know. I donít do enough cooking to do bulk things.
The last of the kidsí food, ready to deliver now.
RTE Garlic Cheese Pizzas https://www.recipetineats.com/garlic-cheese-pizza/ I made individual ones and added ham, caramelised onions and roasted red peppers to them but left the ham off DDís.
Made 3 individual pavlovas (1 for me) but Iíll have to work on that one as I think I overcooked them. I wanted the marshmallowy centre but I donít think I achieved that. Toppings are mixed berry coulis and persimmon, I donít even know if they like persimmon.

Thanks Margaret & Chookie, I look forward to my monthly cook-up for them. Canít wait to see how the chicken burgers go down with DD, there are great reviews of this recipe on Nagiís website and youíve obviously tried them Margaret.

Chookie those bags of garlic are huge, what ratio of the other ingredients do you use?

The kids will be over tomorrow so this time Iíve made RTE veggie burgers for DD https://www.recipetineats.com/veggie-burgers/ and a mixed meat stew with a mashed potato topping for SIL, enough mash left to go with another meal or 2 (SILís favourite). Also a cauli & broccoli au-gratin and some mixed berry coulis to go with individual pavlovas Iím making tomorrow.

Thank you cookie. I hope you find out why your loaves are failing, the sooner the better. It canít be your fault so must be one of the ingredients surely?

Join the club Chookie. I had this the other night, every now and then I do a  Ďletís give this another tryí. Whenever I go out with anyone for a meal (very rarely these days I might add) I always take a chip off someoneís plate. I seem to be able to fool my mouth and get one down reasonably easily with the aid of water after chewing to get the taste. I made a small potato into chips and par-cooked them in the microwave earlier in the day then air fried them, thawed out a cube of gravy (excuse the messy dish) to dip each chip well. They were much easier to eat than the restaurant ones and to be able to eat 9 of them was a real treat.

I agree with Chookie K Atie. Very respectful of the school to close down for the day to give everyone time to come to terms with the tragedy.

Chookie your story was incredible and you handled it so well.  I think you might have found anther best little friend in the street, had you ever met his parents?  Bless you dear lady, a friend to everyone.

Itís so lovely of you to spend time with your neighboursí children Chookie, they can and will learn so much from you. I can just imagine the joy that little boy felt when the loaf came out of the tin as I always felt the same about that particular loaf.  What did you both do whilst waiting for it to rise?

Ha ha Marina, you never know who is going to move in next door when a shop or house becomes vacant. I donít think youíll get too many customers from the new shopís clientele. Just watching people walking by Harlot will be interesting.

I agree with the wheelchair idea for your trip, back in the days when we used to fly we were treated very special with DH being in one. Over the years the service did decline a little compared to the earlier days. We were always put on board first but then had to be the last to be taken off which was OK with us but we were told we would also be the last to exit the plane in an emergency. DH didnít mind that idea but said I had to leave with the others. Can you imagine the reaction from his Mother if I had left him alone to go down with the plane!

Iíve also been through my photos, Iíve made photo albums for each of the girls relevant to them. I kept my own albums but got rid of a lot of loose photos that werenít worth putting into an album. Itís a huge job going through a lifetime of photos, these days of course we have them on our iPads and phones. I have a friend who has a shelf along the whole wall in her garage full of thick albums, her son has told her he will just throw them in the bin when the time comes.

Recipe Requests / Re: Persimmons

I knew youíd find something from that site Marina. It looks like theyíve added more persimmon to the top once cooked but Iíd prefer the fruit to be inside the cookie. Is my assumption right?
