Maddy the cake looks gorgeous.New cake tin?
Yep It's a silicone one, and the cakes popped out so easily! Hope your feeling better CC.
On the mend thanks Maddy. Can't get on with silicone, tried a muffin one once and they all got stuck.Sent it to the charity shop and I'm very reluctant to try again.

CC I hope you are getting better. If you still have your head cold try this. Stick a peeled whole garlic clove under your foot at night when you go to bed. use elastoplast to keep in place. great for kids too that hate medicine. It certainly helps relieve a cold.
Cooking today, chocolate muffins, bread, roast beef and veges. Robyn
My cold is subsiding thanks Robyn. I will give the clove of garlic a go, at least it will keep the vampires away Maddy the cake looks gorgeous.New cake tin?

I was reading your post about using the TM for chocolate work Hestonfan and Quasar and the Demonstrators Delights cookbook has a couple recipes for fillings for handmade chocolates, by Beverley Dunkley of the Barry Callebaut UK Chocolate Academy.I can PM you the recipes if you would like to read them. Also have you looked on the U.K.Thermomix recipe website about chocolate. http://www.ukthermomix.com/recshow.php?rec_id=96

Katya, I also tend to do the same NOW and I think once we become familiar with our TM's we tweak as we go for our own preferences
It is something that as new owners most of us do wonder. It would be really nice if there was a generalisation in the front of the books with things like this
eg - unless stated the MC is to remain in place while cooking ...
what do others think?
I agree with you faffa, it would be nice if it was given in the book information.

Welcome to the forum Quasar4legs.I agree with the others you should have a delivery demo, it will be invaluable to you.I didn't have one (it's not offered here in the U.K.) and I struggled at first. The forum members, who are demonstrators, have opened my eyes to hints and tips that I didn't even know about.Have fun when your TM arrives and many days of happy cooking.

Thanks for the warning about the computer scam.I haven't heard of this one in the U.K. but one that recently went around was very similar.Instead of the computer software they said that you haven't paid your telephone bill and would immediately be cutoff. To prove their point they would tell you to put the phone down and try to dial out.Of course you can't because they have not hung up at the other end, nothing to do with an unpaid bill. They would then phone you back and ask for credit card details to reconnect you.Crafty buggars On a lighter note, have you got all essential supplies so you can get cooking when your TM arrives
