The wet towel and fan would cool your birds down really well Cookie. We do so rely on the air conditioner these days, we never had it growing up and did just fine. I remember mum and dad having an air cooler that was on a stand you filled it with water from the back, that was the mod con.  :D

That works a treat cookie, even for humans  :D

I agree about keeping DH off the roof, it's too dangerous as we get older - try telling that to men though.

Phew, thats hot Cookie!  What a day for the aircon to die  :P :P :-))

I agree about keeping DH off the roof - I have seen several men come to grief after falling off a roof or a ladder getting up onto a roof - and not just older ones either!  :-)) :-))

I agree with you all 110% but he won't listen to me. I just threaten not to visit him in hospital or to give him a full Ukrainian burial- he would really hate that. He tells me he was born here and is an Aussie.

Don't let him go on the roof, remind him of Molly Meldrum.

Cookie, I heard it reached 44.5!  I'm sure there's a lot of air-cons suffering in that heat. Let us hope not too many people are suffering.
Suppose to be a little cooler tomorrow with an afternoon sea breeze, non existent today.

Hi Frozzie, lovely to hear from you.  Hope you enjoy your holiday.  :)

Cookie, hopefully you can get the air conditioner working soon.  It has been a cooler day here today.

Well you know males ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? DH squirted the roof and then went up to the air con. Apparently the float thing was stuck and now the air con is going. I even had the mobile in my hand for when he fell off. He didn't thank goodness. Wy must they do these things? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
Alls well that ends well.  :D

Mines not. He'd send me up onto the roof before he'd get up there!
Glad that it's all sorted.
