This is a recipe from Io e il mio Bimby. I hope you like it
Apple Tart
Ingredients:
600g apple
Juice and peel of 1 lemon
200g sugar
50g toasted hazelnuts
3 eggs
120g yogurt
70g margarine
200g flour
A pinch of salt
1 pack of baking powder 10g
Preparation
* Peel apples and slice them nicely. Put them in a bowl, add lemon juice, mix and let them rest
* Grease a 26-28cm diameter tart tin and sprinkle with a little flour (Or just cover it with wax paper)
* Put lemon peel (without the white), sugar and hazelnuts in TM bowl. Proceed for 10 seconds on Speed 7
* Add eggs, yogurt and margarine.
* Sift in flour.
* Add salt and baking powder. Mix for 30 seconds on Speed 5
* Pour down the half of the mixture into tart tin. Place half of the apple slices
* Pour down the remaining half of the mixture. Place the rest of the apple slices
* Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes
Buon Appetito

CP - it was just gorgeous. Was good having the two layers of apples so they were evenly distributed throughout the cakey mixture. Loved the hazelnuts - the taste of them comes through and combines beautifully with the juicy apples. Made up Chookies custard (cos it doesn't use up too many eggs and is scrumptious) and served with a little dollop of cream. This will be a family favourite. 5/5
Chookies custard recipe - Can't remember what thread it was on but I wrote it down and modified 25g cornflour to the consistency that I like:
10 - 15g cornflour
550g milk
2 eggs
50g sugar
Mix together in the TM for 20 seconds, Speed 5.
Cook 6 minutes, 90 degrees, Speed 4.
Perfect everytime!

Thanks farfallina, another lovely apple recipe to add to our collection. Would that be 1 teaspoon of baking powder in your packet?
-
Thank-you Farfallina, I love the combo of apples & hazelnuts so can't wait to give this a try.

This looks lovely farfallina. Thank you :-*

Another to try. Thanks.

I guess they don't sell baking powder in packs or sacks over there ???
If it is so, please let me know and next time i post accordingly.. as gram
Baking powder bags contain 10gr to be exact. (Some kinds contain also vanillin sugar inside, those ones are 15gr)

Thankyou so much CP63. I have been using the one in the EDC book but thin it down.

Yum - this reminds me of a dessert that my dear old mum used to make. We had brown sugar on each of the apple layers.
