Goodness.

The book was worth it just for this recipe.

Mum couldn't stop telling me how delicious it was. If you like anything lemon, you will LOVE this cake. I didn't even serve it with icecream. It is just sooooo good even by itself.

The only thing I did differently to the recipe was that I didn't grind the sugar for the syrup. Main reason because I didn't actually read the method before I chucked the ingredients in....

But this cake is utterly delicious. If you have Devel of a Cookbook, I highly recommend this recipe
