Garlic Paste from Winn
« on: April 09, 2013, 03:15:55 pm »
This was posted by our member Winn.I moved it here for other people to see.

"I use parsley for garlic paste, quite a few of my friends like it as well, they like to remind me when they're getting low on the paste.   I wrote the ingredients down, unfortunately I cannot remember from which site or even when, so if anyone recognises it, thankyou for the recipe."

GARLIC PASTE

75g sea salt
75g herbs (40g parsley,25g chives, 10g basil)
300g garlic (yes 300g cloves, peeled)

Process all into a paste, 1 minute at speed 6.

Add to cream cheese (nice on crackers) or butter.  Stews or literally anything.

CC I make the same paste and keep inthe fridge covered in olive oil. We love it on pizza bases for garlic pizza. I also add it to lots of other things when cooking. I don't think it would give a taste like Teninas as its not cooked.

I got the recipe years go from an old Italian lady selling fresh Astralian garlic at a local farmers market.

I am Tossing up between making this and Tenina's recipe. One of the guys we are travelling with doesn't eat garlic!  I was thinking with one of these pastes I may be able to trick him into eating some and not knowing. Any ideas which you think woulda be best please?
