Hi Flossy and welcome to the forum! What a lovely hubby! It is a shame that he purchased it online because you really do miss the support and service that Thermomix Australia provides. Plus there's the Everyday Cookbook too. (EDC)

I'm sure with some help from the forums, some patience and practice, you will be able to get around most things though.

Good luck.

Welcome Flossy - don't forget youtube to pick up some hints. I bought mine online but luckily it came with 4 cookbooks. I did have a demo but found watching lots of youtube helped me to start as well as haunting this forum LOL.

Hi everyone! It is now a just a little over a week since I received my TM,( without the cookbook), but I have been having fun with it experimenting with just about everything. I have made bread, risotto, dips and soups with gay abandon. I have my I Pad next to TM on the bench and just google the Thremo community about something or watch a YouTube video and away I go. Thanks again for all those great tips. Xx Flossy

Well done flossy, get some Veggie Stock COncentrate and some Umami Paste on the go. You will use them both so often.

Hi Flossy, I'm also in Tassie (Perth) I'm happy to let you borrow my book if you want for a few days to give you time to copy what you want. Send me a message if you would like to borrow it. :)

Hi Dede and all.
Life is looking up in the Tassie household, not only did my wonderful husband buy me my Thermy, but he has now found me an EDC as well! Got to love him. I have also spent hour on delightful hour trolling the Internet and YouTube for hints and recipes, so not only I am more confident  with the TM, I am more proffecient with my Ipad. Win, win, to me.
Thanks for your on going support. Flossy xxx
