I'm making Tomato Chutney today.  We have an abundance of tomatoes again this year.  Have cooked and frozen lots and still plenty to go.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I love reading and seeing what everyone is cooking too Chookie.  Lots more time to cook now for most of us so it could even become more interesting!  I haven’t any room in the freezers to do anything else at the moment so I need get on with eating it.  I have a visitor coming for lunch on Wednesday I’d told her we wouldn’t go out for a pub meal.  Of course we couldn't now even if we wanted to but I can easily rustle up a 3 course lunch from my ready meals stock.

That will be nice Judy.
Yesterday I made an interesting ice-cream from Thermofun. It tasted nice licking the bowl. http://thermofun.com/thermofun-peanut-butter-swirl-frozen-yoghurt-low-carb-recipe/
I used maple syrup instead of sugar in the recipe. I made it into 10 serves and each one is 141 calories.

Interesting cookie.  I went back to the original recipe to see how many carbs, they could be reduced by replacing the banana with berries so I might do the numbers and see what I can come up with.  Low carb ice-cream is pretty expensive to buy, especially my favourite Denada.

I have heard of bad hair days but today I had a very bad bread day. Over proofed a loaf and when I baked it it collapsed to its original side and was sticky inside. Then I made a Rye SD loaf. And it is still sitting on the bench trying to make up its mind.

Chookie that is no good with your bread
Looking at a few pantry meals for later on when we have no enough fresh food , saw a chickpea and coconut curry that Georgie from Lola/ works on the Project has made from New York Times. Sure we could make that up

Cookie, that looks delicious.
KAtie there are lots of recipes and hints on line.  Pizza is a good start and lots of recipes using rice. If you grow grain you could grind some up and make lots of stuff.

Yesterday’s disaster, today’s success. SD olive loaf on left and caraway seed on right.

Not to be beaten after yesterday’s disasters Chookie, good on you.  We all have those sort of days in the kitchen where we should have stayed in bed all day instead.

Your ice-cream looks great cookie, how was the taste?

It was very nice Judy, just a hint of the peanut butter. Tonight I may put a dob of peanut butter on the top.

Cooked a roast butterfly lamb, kids devoured the meat ! Last of green veggies used , just zucchini left .
Chookie the grain is not organic as in had stay on it during its growth so not sure to use it . DH always says that it would no have residue chemicals but I still hesitate.
Wish I had kept the veg patch up , but it will be ok .

KAtie,  the grain is probably no different to what you buy in your flour.  I’d wash it dry it and then grind it up.
Do you know about Natures Cargo in Ballarat. ? Have a look at their catalogue on line. Yesterday I ordered a pile of stuff for family and neighbours. Most of the goods are bulk.  A bit cheaper but not a lot.   They normally supply restaurants and such. They delivered it free.
Made pizzas in the pizza machine, sent some around to GC and they were very pleased.  No contact, talked from afar.
Yesterday made up 1/2 a packet of cake mix into little cakes in mini pie maker, for GC.  Made 7.

Thank you Chookie I will look into it today . When anything is delivered now we must wipe it down as the virus can live on hard surfaces for , I have heard 72 hours . I left what I got in Melbourne the other day , books , undies and clothes for DS just to be safe , but you can only hope.
