Thankyou Cookie, you should give these a go.  When you don't forget to put the filling in, they are quite easy to make  :o   ;D

Thankyou Katie.  I bet they would be lovely from a bakery especially when warm.

Cuilidh, thankyou too.  Hope you are keeping well in Melbz.  I see some restrictions have been eased.  I bet that is most welcomed.  :)

Tomorrow I'm going to take a couple of the rolls out of the freezer and gently warm to see if they are like just baked.  Would be so handy to have in the freezer for when friends/family drop by. :)

Such a lot of lovely cooking happening here on the forum.

During the weekend I made another Sultana Cake.  Half went to DS again.  Also made a half quantity of my Christmas pudding recipe and have sent it to our GD in Queensland. We are hoping the restrictions ease and she is allowed to come home.  It would be her first Christmas away from home.  I sent it express post so just hope it arrives safely and doesn't get lost in the mail.

This morning I made 2 Rhubarb & Apple pies.  One for DIL and one for us.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Julie, lovely.  Cardamon would be my favourite spice.  You did a great job in reforming them.  I have made similar and they freeze well.
Friend staying so am making her a Wholemeal Japanese Milk loaf.  She is weeding my veggie garden. Haven’t been able to give it any attention.
Mab, hope GD can make it home for Xmas.  I thought I might make individual serves of Xmas Pud.

I did that one year Chookie.  I reheated them in the Varoma.
I made some SD Cinnamon scrolls today. I made them very small and didn’t top them with anything. I had a couple.

Thanks Chookie, yes cinnamon and cardamom are my favourite spices.  I reheated 2 this morning and they did turn out like just baked so am very happy with that.  Will make more once this lot reduces down as I love the idea of having them on hand.  ;D

Look really nice Cookie, I'm really liking the smaller, snail like ones.  I bet they went down a treat with your family.

Look good Cookie.  Nice that you can have some.
I gave some SD starter to a friend and she gave me 2 vey large Fowler jars of quince pulp.  I have decided to make quince chutney.

I hope to make a Macadamia and Mango Icecream from Tenina. It is made with coconut cream.

Sounds like a Weiss bar Cookie, match made in heaven!  Please let me know what it's like,  though I expect being a Tenina recipe it will be very good.  :)

JulieO ... going way back in time I am sure there is a mango recipe somewhere on here that is also very similar to the Weiss bars.  I know I have got it somewhere, but cannot find it, sorry.

Found it Cuilidh, from 2011.  I made a comment that I was going to give them a go after lots of positive comments, but I never commented back.  Maybe I didn't get around to it.   Here for anyone interested.

I haven’t done the icecream yet. I had mangoes in the freezer, but they were from a friends tree and weren’t peeled, so I decided to buy some frozen when I go near the shops.
Today I made Chookie’s whole meal Japanese milk bread from her blog. DD has taken a third to her friend who loves it, DH and I have already had a slice. It’s lovely.
I also made a slice. It has shortbread base with jam and a few Choc chips sprinkled over and then the rest of the shortbread grated over the top.

Cookie, I am making that wholemeal loaf again today.  This time I will replace 1/2 the wholemeal with Laucke Soy and grain mix. I am also mixing the Yudane with the warm  milk before I add the rest of ingredients as I noticed a streak of Yudane in the bread when baked.
I made some 5.2 tomato and lentil soup but added a bit of cauliflower and it thickened it without flour.
Made 36 sausage rolls, 24 Arancini from the mushroom risotto and garlic bread for GS footie party. Lucky they have  a very large room where they can self distance.
