That’s a great loss cookie, you’ve done really well keeping it off especially as you are always cooking bread, biscuits etc which must be so tempting.

That's great Cookie, I'm aiming for about the same weight loss as you so now I have someone who is an example for me to follow.

Cookie, that is fab.  Yes the exercising is a pain.  I find it easier when I stick the iPad to the machine and watch something interesting.
Yesterday I picked the only apples we got this year.  Not many, Golden Delicious.  I roasted some in the AF.  They are small but 1 will be enough for pud.

Thank you everyone. If it wasn't for the diabetes I probably wouldn't have done it. I could still lose some more, but I love my food!

This morning I tried a new recipe I found in an old Sunbeam fruit book. It was cupcakes with sultanas and orange, but like a sponge. I think the recipe was a little lacking on flour or something. The really bombed! Lovely flavour but appearance is ghastly.

You’ve done really well too cookie, how much weight have you lost to prevent being diagnosed as diabetic?
I lost almost 22kg Judy.. I have sat at this weight for over 12 months now. I find that exercise is important to keep my blood sugar down, and I HATE exercise but I do it daily as I don't want to have to use medication for my diabetes until I really have to. Fortunately it's being well controlled by diet at the moment.

Cookie, that's fantatic!  I had no idea you had lost so much weight too, a great achievement  ;D

Thanks JulieO.
I made a ‘dip’ to go with CC’s yesterday. I got the recipe from Nikkit many moons ago. I’m sure she won’t mind if it post it as unfortunately she doesn’t do her classes anymore.

5 minute hummus - you cook the chick peas and garlic first then throw in the rest ... a successful experiment!, vege stew, frittata and a new recipe - butternut, feta and broccoli galette - totally delicious - my second successful experiment this weekend.

Marina, glad to see you experimenting.  Successful too.
Today I made Cauli cheese mini pies as well as Ratatouille mini pies.  And Rhubarb mini pies.  As mentioned elsewhere, Megan Janes Sticky Date Pud. .

It sounds like you are all cooking up a storm.  I’ve only made a small batch of chia puddings and  seed granola, both for breakfasts - 3 weeks worth all up. About to make a chive/yoghurt dip to take to DD’s BBQ tomorrow.

I made a Classic Loaf today and a batch of old fashioned Choccy Rocks.

Overnight SD,
Chocolate Lava cakes in mini pie maker.  I used 1/2 packet of chocolate cake mix and after 4 minutes stuck a mini Cadbury chocolate Salted Caramel Easter Egg in the top. Baked for another 2 minutes.  The melted Easter Egg remains soft in the center. This is adapted from the WW Pie book. Made 7. Will certainly be making lots of these for Easter.

Great idea for Easter Chookie.  No choccy for me this Easter, knowing DD she will give me a Keto product instead LOL.
