for what it's worth, I have quite successfully steamed vegies in the varoma while cooking at 100 degrees..
I just put the vegies on at the same time as the main dish and it worked fine for me... :)  I think it would have to be above something that was going to cook for a minimum of 20 to 25 minutes but mine was for 25, smallish chopped carrot, cauli, brussel sprouts and all turned out lovely...

forgot to say, I used the initially recommended quantities of liquid but 2 hugely heaped tablespoons of flour and it was a fabulous sauce, not too thick but just thick enough

made it today for my friends but used chicken and IT WAS FANTASTIC....they loved it and so did I......awesome recipe... many many thanks... will absolutely make it again

I was just wondering, this looks so easy and delicious, could it be made using the whole egg rather than just the yolks and what difference would it make??  also, could any of these raw mayonnaises be made in the form of the hollandaise with a little light cooking while mixing so the egg is not raw??
