Unfortunately this one did not work for us. The risotto turned out gluggy (but then again I can never work out TM risottos) and the taste of feta was just too strong for us. Maybe it's the feta that we used? Anyhow, this was the first recipe from a TM that we literally could not stomach.

I also reduced the sugar by half and halved the recipe. It was really yummy and went really well with the chicken sandwich filling from the same book.

This was indeed not too sweet. But mine turned out dry. I wonder if it's because it's the wholemeal flour? I put it in the oven for 16 mins.

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: MC Splintering
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:11:55 am »
My Thermomix is only 2 months old and my MC already has knicks here and there. I was surprised because I noticed it suddenly one day. This made me think that it might been caused by one particular use? Either way, it's still usable but if after 2 months I'm already seeing knicks, I can't imagine what will happen to it in few years time!

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Review: Yoghurt Compote - QFIT pg 45

Successfully made yogurt on the first try (how exciting is it to make your own yoghurt??) and wanted to make something out of it. So I proceeded with this easy recipe. I used plums. Love how easy it is to make such a delicious breakfast from scratch. Should be quite impressive for guests too. I would probably make ahead because it takes time for the stewed plums to cool down before I can serve. Yum!

Finally got my hands on a copy of "For Food's Sake" and this is the first recipe I tried. Love it! It's so easy and so flavorful. A great week night meal. I didn't have celery so I substituted with carrots. It was really yummy and husband approves :)

Yup I have it too on my unread thread. I'm guessing this is a way Tapatalk is getting some money through advertisement because they made the app free? Quite annoying.

@nikkit it's best that you precook the pasta shells by submerging it in boiled water for 15 mins before putting it in your baking pan. Learned it from Alyce in her QFIT.

My cauliflowers that weren't covered by the sauce was on the crunchy side.
