Your birthday sounds lovely KAtie.
I did an enormous basket of ironing today. It was only a week but it was a heck of a lot.

I plan to do my grocery shopping tomorrow and then go to the Italian grocer early Thursday morning. They open at 6.30 am but I won’t be that early.

Put up our Xmas garland on the front door today !! DS went to the shed found the Christmas tree and put it up !! We are a little late this year . Made my DMs ice cream plum pudding this morning , had soaked the fruit in brandy for 24 hours . Forgot that I had girls drinks on at the local golf club tonight , luckily GF texted me if I wanted a lift ! Quickly BBQUEd the steak , prepped the vegetables and layer out the containers for harvest boys and worker , asked DD to cook vegetables when DH calls her dinner done . Crazy Christmas time .

Bought 2 Xmas Gift baskets from Wilsons. Beautifully prepared and well worth the money. Very festive. Contained fruit, cheese , crackers on a lovely wooden tray.
We get our booster jabs today.
Covering the white peach tree with a net.  Ral has spent a week making a frame.
Packing away most of the winter Woolies.
Preparing guests bedrooms.

Chookie and KAtie you are both busy ladies. I did my grocery shop this morning. I went early but lots of others did too. All beating the heat. I had a wonky trolley and that made me cross, I couldn't be bothered swapping it, so I fought it all the way round the aisles.

Today was change of plans , DD and I did a huge shop . Once home I sat down to watch the live steam recording of my DF who passed away the other day . We were meant to be there but for various reasons we did not go , one being so hard to do after my DMs funeral . It was amazing and I was  mentioned a few times which made it hard . It strikes me that the good die young and so do people that put their all into life , an amazing academic organised girl that we all loved .
Boys out harvesting , kittens very playful .

Today, doing all the awful little jobs that I have been putting off.
Big discussion with family about Xmas.  Do we go ahead with lunch. Issue being 2 elderly people, us, and 4 teenagers who have holiday jobs and are out in public. All fully vaccinated.  We decided to go ahead and be as careful as possible. Lunch outside, wear masks most of the time, no kissing or hugs.
K Atie very sad event.

A discussion worth having Chookie and I’m glad you’ve come up with a plan. I believe Christmas Day is going to be quite cool over there, it’s perfect here but our poor Perth friends will have a really uncomfortable one.

I spent yesterday morning setting up the tables and getting all the crockery etc ready for Christmas Day.  A friend came for afternoon tea bringing a large bunch of rhubarb with her.

A quick trip to the supermarket early this morning for a few last minute items, then home to start some food preparation.  GD called in to collect the Christmas pudding I had made to go to Queensland.  She is flying off tomorrow to spend Christmas with her sister up there.

I went to the Italian grocer this morning at 8.30am/ They were very busy. I bought up big as their stuff is lovely.

Judy you are so very right. We are looking at 43 for Christmas Day with 39 tomorrow followed by some more days of 40 and 41. DD said she may be glad to be at work.
