Using up bits and pieces. Rolled and stuffed chicken breast on a bed of leek rissotto drizzled with truffle oil. Salad on the side. Really really nice, will do this as a planned meal. amazing how good things can be from scraps

Yes, that does sound nice Hally.
I was at Ikea today so meatballs were on my mind. I bought some tarragon and chicken mince from Saskia Beer's stall at the market on the weekend, so I turned it into meatballs which I baked in the oven. I wanted a garlicky sauce to go with it, so I searched the forum and came up with Fafallina's creamy zucchini sauce recipe. I used a couple of cloves of my smoked garlic and it was delicious.

We had the Lamb Curry from Tenina's new e book. It was delicious. I served it with rice and Naan Bread

I made a huge lasagne for dinner last night with 1.5 kg lean mince, 1.35 kg diced tomatoes, 3 carrots, 3 zucchini, onion, celery, bit of kessler, garlic, red wine, 1.5 packs lasagne sheets, 250 g parmesan, double bechemel sauce and a few other bits n pieces including a very generous pinch of Chookies quatre espice. Could barely lift the dish
I had a piece about the size of the palm of my hand and DD(19), DS(20) and DS(16) had eaten the rest by breakfast this morning
Poor DH missed out. It was an awfully good lasagne
This is the older DS and DD sorting out some technical issues over a midnight “snack”. Their dinner portions were larger than these yet they are all skinny as.

I can't keep up with them ATM Judy. DD say that she misses my cooking and I think the cold weather has stimulated their appetites. Although that lasagne was delicious. Will have to try and remember what I did and make a note somewhere

Made the Slow cooked beef chilli from Keeping it Simple last night and it was really nice although a bit hot for me but visitors liked it. Tonight making shepherds pie using Chookies Fab Bols recipe as the base as we love this recipe.
