I have done a postal vote for years as I cannot abide the idiots handing out voting  cards as if voters are stupid. I cannot stand the waste of trees either.

I have to vote, yes anyone should know who they are voting for, before they get there to cast a vote. :o

We haven't done it on the day for years. We usually do a postal vote but were away this year so we just went to an early voting place. We parked out the back and were in and out before the mad crowd giving away trees knew we were there.  I'm with you Gert, it is such a waste, all those forms. I wish we could do it electronically.

Why can't they just stick up a copy of each party's how to vote cards inside each polling cubicle?

Because they are probably waiting for a male to come up with the suggestion?

Then there'd have to be a preferential voting system in place to work out whose how-to-vote card got 'prime' position  :-\

Happy I won a $50 book voucher at Uni today....I thought I'd try to buy a momento based on the field  I'm working in at the moment...then found the rather excellent cookbook section....then asked if they had Stephanie Alexander's A Cooks Companion...then they said with member discount $90 -bargain! Then using my gift voucher it will cost me $40...I did a happy dance all the way back to my office!!!!
