Folder of Demo recipes for consultants?
« on: March 27, 2011, 02:50:21 pm »
Hi,

Can anyone help me? I'm looking for demo recipes and wondered if there's a folder of demo recipes for consultants here somewhere. I've tried doing a search: negative.

I'm looking for ideas for my first demo. It will be to a group of friends, not to unknown people, but still I'm looking for 3 to 5 recipes that will show off the TM at it's best.

Ideas welcomed.

Thanks

Cheryl

Hi Cheryl  :)

These are the dishes that we make at a basic demo here in Australia. All of the recipes are from the Everyday Cookbook.

- Fresh fruit sorbet
- Basic bread (baked in the host's oven)
- Herb and garlic dip or hommus
- Raw beetroot salad or coleslaw
- Risotto or pasta fagioli
- Lemon custard

Thanks. Your list is more or less what Nancy Day did for our demo in Cairns. I thought there might be a folder of demo recipes here. I have the EDC, and use it quite often. I also have a pile of recipes from my Swiss "advisor/team leader", but I was hoping to discover something new!!

Cheryl I thought the demo menu's were fairly set in stone through head office. Though there are a few consultants who will do a more tailor made one.
Though if you aren't in Oz then that is different.

The format is that way to demonstrate the main features of the machine for the new owner and non owners, covering the basic info about the TM as well. The only other one is the varoma demo. Some times you need to adjust it depending on the customers likes or intolerances. But generally we stick to that format.

Thanks, Meagan and Zan. BTW: what is usually shown in the varoma demo? Are there any particular recipes that are preferred?

The varoma demo menu is as follows and is always popular

Fruity dream
Pizza Bianca
Capsicum cashew dip
Capsicum cashew dip dressing
Vegetable and chickpea soup
Warm chicken pumpkin and couscous salad
Steamed lemon coconut cakes with Citrus syrup

The dishes prepared for the varoma demo are simply delicious. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

:) Thanks. Are the recipes from the varoma book or edc. I know the cashew and sundried tomato dip is in there, but the others don't sound familiar. I just got the varoma book with the bag, apron, etc when I signed up to be a consultant, and I haven't had a chance to really look at it yet.
On  my list of to do's :)

I got the recipes on a set of cards from my consultant. Fruity dream is from the edc. I think the chickpea soup might be from the varoma or mwoc book. In fact the only recipe which isn't anywhere is the warm chicken and pumpkin salad and maybe the lemon pudding.
