Chit Chat / Thermies off to hospital!!!
« on: March 02, 2012, 10:40:54 am »
Texted my consultant this morning as  poor thermie has been coming up with errors 31 & 52!!! Just heard back saying that she has written a service report and to take it to Balcatta when I can! Luckily I have mums tmx cos I don't think I'd survive without my baby! Wish me luck. Hoping it's nothing serious.

Another very quick and easy recipe but loaded with flavour. Doesn't make much though but as it only keeps for a month, that's probably a good thing. Haven't used it yet but I like the idea of spreading on crostini with the pea purée on top.

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Walnut Pesto- For Foods Sake- page 30
« on: February 09, 2012, 09:53:52 am »
So easy to make, makes roughly a jam jar full. Used it in the chicken pesto pinwheels instead of making the pesto. Simplified the recipe even more ;)
I'll definately be making this again.

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / For Foods Sake- Beef and Ale Pie
« on: February 08, 2012, 12:06:08 pm »
Oh yum!
Very easy to make, basically chuck in onions and garlic and evoo wiz then sauté. Then bung everything else in and cook for an hour!
The flavour was out of this world! Was a lot of gravy so poured into a gravy boat and served with tmx mash, peas, brocolli and carrots.
Definately a keeper. It made two medium sized pies. Thanks Tenina, you're awesome! :)

Chit Chat / Tapatalk forum app for iPhone
« on: January 20, 2012, 07:21:56 am »
Has anyone seen this app? I normally go onto the forum from my iPhone and when I last went to look about half an hour ago, a pop up said you can use this forum app now. I had a look and downloaded it for $2.99. Haven't had a proper look yet and I'll have to get used to it as it looks quite different!

Help!!! I've just made 3 batch of playdough for my sons class and in the first batch I put almond essence! It wasn't until it was done that I realised that if it contained nuts they wouldn't be able to use it as it's a nut free school. I used coconut essence in the next 2 batches so that's ok! Does anyone know if it contains nuts? It contains alcohol, water, glycerine and natural almond oil flavour but doesn't have a warning about nuts on it!

« on: May 11, 2011, 03:45:09 am »
Does anyone know how to store Quirky Jo's chicken stock paste? I've just made it and am unsure whether to put it in the fridge or freezer. Do I sterilize a jar to put it in??? Also anyone know how long it will keep for? HELP please.

« on: February 03, 2011, 01:22:02 am »
Has anyone got any ideas or recipes for using pak choy? DH planted some a few weeks ago and the outer leaves look like they should be picked and used!!! No idea what to do with it except to chuck it in a stir fry. Anyone suggest anything a bit different? :-\

DH thought it was very funny when I told him that he couldn't eat his pizza pocket for lunch until I had taken a photo!!!

Introduce Yourself / Perthie needs a thermomix....now!!
« on: April 14, 2010, 07:21:58 am »
Hi there everyone,  :)

I haven't got a thermomix yet, but desperately want and need one! My Mum has had hers for 3 years and since going to her demo, i have been sold.... its just convincing my partner! I'm sure that when i have a demo, he will be too.

I'm trying to work out how would be the best way to pay. Not sure whether we can afford to do the credit card, or to go with the payment for a year.

I keep looking on this forum, reading everyones raves and am so jealous because i know how much i will use it.  I have 3 hungry kids to feed (all boys) and im sure a thermomix would be a most welcome addition to my busy kitchen!

Anyway, just thought i'd say hi and hopefully soon i will be able to be one of you and tell you what i've been making!!

Julia
