I had to have a bit of a giggle about your oooopppps ladies.
Yesterday I made Chookie's Tahini Biscuits.  They taste lovely and are very filling.  I am going to try freezing some for my vegan GD for when she comes to visit..

Marina you and Chookie have been busy. I made a mango fruit cake from The Annoyed Thyroid’s blog.  It is no added sugar and no fat. Very tasty too.

We really like it. I made mine in an 8 inch tin.
That cake looks yummy ... did you cook it for the same length of time as in the recipe or did you have to adjust the timing?

Mab, I have had a couple of those Tahini biscuits in the tin for 2 weeks.  They are a bit soft but still taste ok.

Marina I think I had to cook it for a bit longer. There is still a bit left and I am going to make some custard to pour over it for sweets tonight. I kept it in the fridge as it is quite moist.

What is left of the fruit cake.

I liked the look of that cake cookie so I made it this afternoon in 2 small loaf tins, cooked  them around 22 minutes or until a skewer came out clean.  It’s lovely but after 2 slices it has ended up in the freezer so that it’s harder to just grab a slice. I’m a terrible cake maker but I had great success with this one. I’d like to try cup cakes with this mixture one day.

It looks lovely Mich. I made some Cheese and Rosemary biscuits as DH had requested something savoury for the biscuit barrel.

I spent the day in the kitchen yesterday.  SC Beef Stew, Chicken & Veg casserole, Spaghetti Sauce, Curried Sausages.  Some for GS and the rest in the freezer.

You have been busy Margaret. DD and I went to an Italian place for coffee this morning The coffee was lovely and we had a slice of the most unusual Carrot cake. It was very dense and had lots of nuts in it. I will have to see if I can find the recipe. Lucky she goes back to work next week, all these lunches and coffees are not good for me. Great fun though.
