I made this with high hope for the dish... I was dissapointed! I only used half the amount of oil suggested and half the cashews as I dont like having too much fat in my diet and thought that the oil (EVOO) would have been too overpowering. I found that it had a very unplesant taste to it, almost bitter and tart. I ended up giving it to the chook, Maybe it could have donw with a date or two added to it but i dont think it would have made a big difference to it.
Wont be making it again.
Has anyone else made this and had the same issues? OR maybe you liked it? Share away :)

Ah, sorry didn't pick up on the fact that this was a raw recipe. I'm not into raw food except salads but I'm sure one or more of our members will get back to you on this one mixalot.

I find that a lot of raw and vegan recipes are incredibly high in fat. I think adding all the cashews may have made it sweeter.

I was disappointed with the cauliflower soup when I first made it. But when I tried again it was much better as I added more water along with some shoyu sauce and honey. Although probably more telling, I haven't made it since. The soup didn't have the right consistency but the extra water in the second attempt helped a lot. At the time I didn't register a bitter or tart taste, but since shoyu sauce and honey helped, I suspect the taste was an issue as well.
I've blogged about it here:-
