Gosh you two are quick. I haven't even downloaded it yet. I'm afraid I'll read it instead of housework. I know which would be more fun :D

I bought this earlier today and am so glad I did. .. I think there are a lot of recipes I'll be making very soon...especially the baked beans.
Also I must say to anyone who is thinking of purchasing, don't be turned off by the breakfast title, many of the recipes could be used for other meals and snacks  :)
Such a reasonable price too, thanks Tenina :)

Has anyone purchased the coconut palm sugar that is mentioned in these recipes?  Wondering if I need to order some or just use raw sugar?  :)

I use normal sugar JulieO. Possibly not the best but I have so many sugars and rices and goodness knows what in my pantry now.

Thanks girls for taking the time to answer  :)

I rang our local health shop who said they'd just sold their last packet.  They are getting some more in and will ring when it arrives, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered seeing postage from an on-line supplier was $10 and wouldn't have been worthwhile. I'm interested to see what it's like.  :)

Much as I love Tenina's books, I'm a savoury breakfast person. Since there's only two savoury options here, I won't be getting this one.

Hey folks,
Do you think this is worth purchasing for a gluten and dairy free person?

I'll go and look through it again and come back and give you my thoughts.

Have a look through the list of contents at the beginning of this thread. I think it is worth buying but that may help you. You may prefer to get another opinion too.

I just went through my copy and I think it is a pretty good book for those on a gf diet. At least 50% of the recipes are gluten free or very easily converted. There is one recipe that uses puff pastry (you can buy/make gf but it is very temperamental), there are pancakes, and a couple that use panettone/brioche that might be trickier (but not impossible) to make gf.

I haven't had much experience with df, so am hesitant in saying either way, but IMO it is not too bad on that front. If he is limiting coconut milk, then there are a few less recipes, but I'm sure there are some df alternatives that might make most of the recipes suitable for those on a df diet, especially if you have the TMX to make nut butter/milk :)

And for the price, at least it is not the price of a large hardcover book :)
