Thermie has a anew lover!
« on: September 07, 2011, 10:27:29 pm »
Hi everyone.

Received my Thermie two days ago and am in love already. DH and I went out for lunch
yesterday and I resented having to leave my new love to eat someone else's cooking  :-))

We live in a little village about 45km from Tamworth in NSW, run a few sheep, a few goats
and a couple of head of cattle (all headed for the Thermie in due time).

Welcome Hillbilly, sounded delightful your lifestyle....until you said they were headed for Thermie. I would definetly be a vego if it was me! Sounded too cute. Enjoy Thermy, I agree the foods too good at home these days. Try the garlic prawn risotto that's my new restaurant quality fav.

Hi hillbilly, welcome to the forum.  You do tend to look at restaurant food and compare it to what the TMX produces.  Was out with a group of carers this week for lunch, a lot of them ordered the garlic prawn risotto and I must say the photos on the forum look better than what they had in front of them.  Naturally I didn't order it because risottos are so easy to do in the TMX -that is one thing I would never order whilst out.  Enjoy your time on here, try out our recipes and please post reviews if you have the time.

Welcome Hillbilly, sounds like you really are in heaven now that you have your Thermie to go with your lifestyle (just a little jealous  ;))

I have to admit I too find it very hard to go out for a meal now ... trying to find something that I couldn't make in the TMX (and sometimes better!!) and something that I want to / will eat can be difficult. Our Thermies really do spoil us for choice ;D ;D

Welcome, hillbilly.  Greetings to a fellow Thermomix enthusiast.  So glad you have been able to feel so confident and happy with your Thermomix in so short a time.  Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Hillbilly.  Ed (DH) asked if we wanted takeaway last night (as I was looking rather frazzled after a LONG work day) and I simply couldn't do it. I simply HAD to TMX something.  It is a strange addiction but I had no other choice.  I am going away for five days and I am already missing my TMX!

You people are just the best!

Thanks for all your welcoming replies to my first post. I'm not very experienced at forum discussions but am looking forward to contributing some of our old family favourites once I convert them to TMX.

After browsing the forum I'm not sure that I have enough years left in me to try all these yummy recipes. Looks like I'll be featured in The Biggest Loser in a year or two.
