I had the same problem with some lamb the other day Margaret. It's not right as meat is so expensive. They hide the yucky bits.

Margaret if you are travelling around that could be a nuisance. Why not dry a bit as insurance, and put your starter into a big jar and give it a cup of flour and a cup of water and leave it in the fridge.
To dry it, just smear 1/2 a cup on to some baking paper and dry it out of the sun, for a couple of days. It will flake off the paper when dry.

I did some marinated feta yesterday.
The rolls are the Ciabiatta ones I made for our burger night. They were enormous.

Having some sour cream leftover from 2 previous recipes I went looking for a recipe.  I came up with this one from Pioneer Woman http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/edna-maes-sour-cream-pancakes/ then found it was in a book Katie gave me so it saved me printing out the recipe.  I made half a batch which was 3 medium size and 1 large one, not quite as many as she said you would get from a whole batch of the batter.

Verdict - deliciously light and I would certainly make them again.  I made the mixture in the Thermomix and served them with Maple Syrup and cream.

I also made the sauce only from this recipe from recipetineats in the Thermomix. http://www.recipetineats.com/thai-red-curry-with-chicken-mango/.  I had a couple of packs of Carnation coconut milk in the freezer so I got rid of them instead of opening a can of coconut milk and I used yellow curry paste instead of red as that was all I had. Tomorrow night I'll cook some chicken tenderloins and just add them to some of the sauce.  The rest of the sauce can be packed into small amounts and frozen for another time and another recipe.

I made some coconut milk tonight, but haven't used it yet. I also made some raspberry fruity dream. Inspired after a cooking class last night!

Judy, they sound really nice... There were many times I was left with half a bottle of sour cream and I end up eating them with corn chips.. Will surely try this recipe next time!

My leftover sour cream usually just sits in the fridge until I have to throw it out thermilover.  I might post the Thermomix version of that recipe, it's dead easy using our machine.

I love pancakes of any type so look forward to trying sour cream ones.

Today I tried the plum paste from here (I think) and it looks good and tastes good.

Chicken and Celery casserole for dinner tonight; very nice.

I'm a bit bad, I rarely use sour cream. I use plain Greek yoghurt instead.
Please post the recipe Judy, they look delicious. I've just got home from book club and would love one of your pancakes now.

Your pancakes look nice Judy.  Thanks for posting the recipe.

Another batch of tomato chutney this morning.  I still have plenty more to use up.
