Yesterday, big load to Op Shop. Still selling and giving away stuff.
Visit to Dr for scripts. He said to bang on their door if we ever need him in the middle of the night. Would have o be desperate to to that.
Visit to gut Dr., for me. All going well.
Cookie, good going to have those skin checks. I got into a little trouble for not having some fasting blood tests. Must do it.

All sounds very nice. I also love Garlic Prawns. Always have it at a local restaurant but it is a pasta dish with a little chilli that I pick out.
We had Takaway Red Rooster and ate it in the car by the lake.

Marina, the expensive Creame ? Spelling,  pastry rolls, made in SA, are butter.
K Atie love my Le Creuset pots. Some of mine are 50 years old, still perfect. There is a Le Creuset shop in the Emporium in Melbourne. With several, you can use the lid as a separate cooking dish. Also, the Weber brand sell foil rectangular dishes that fit perfectly in my AF.

Marina, very strange about the ducklings.
Cookie, sounds lovely.
Big rock concert in park , Spilt Milk.  No noise, wind blowing noise away. Great to see lots of young people dressed up and heading towards the park.
Yesterday we had the biggest, nicest surprise for a long time. When we bought the new house, we knew our lovely GP lived in the same street. In fact he and family live right next door. Yesterday they came to visit. They are lovely people. Wife an Ag Scientist and 2 small boys, 10 and 8. They have a double block with an extensive veggie garden. They brought us some home grown lettuce. They are happy to have us as neighbours.

K Atie, I have an extensive collection of Red Le Creuset pots and dishes. All still packed except for the very large round flat pot. I leave it on the gas top and use it for everything at the moment.
Quite hot again today , so salmon and salad.

Ral and I had our first day off in months. We went to Creswick to order some Xmas pastries. There is the most amazing French Patisserie there. We had coffee and Danish pastry sitting outside. It was so nice ( though we were in France);we decided to stay for lunch. As I have thrown out a lot of clothes, I bought a new summer jacket.  Amazing what a lift a little retail therapy does. Rubylala brand. Never heard of it.
We had our first touch of Summer yesterday. Canít open any of the upstairs windows. One of the little problems encounter when you buy a house that hasnít been lived in. We have a list of small things that need attention.
Tested oven with thermometer and it seems accurate. No steam and fan seems very harsh. 2 oven, both the same. Might make some Portuguese custard tarts to try it out.

Very nice Cookie.
Iím slowly getting my cooking Mojo back. Made yoghurt in TMX yesterday. Itís a bit difficult when I canít find the ingredients. Still unpacking.
Yesterday I cooked lamb chops on BBQ. Steamed new pots and made cold slaw to go with them.
Last year I bought a cooking pan from Weber. It has a click on/ off handle. Iíve been using it for a lot of cooking. Very handy and would make a good Xmas present.

Thanks again for all your lovely messages.
The new regime of drugs seems more severe than the previous chemo. It is a 4 week program of pills administered at home , with increasing dosage over the 4 weeks. Ral has a blood test at the end of each week. He is continuing to eat well but looks awful. Probably trying to do too much.

Today we are going to our storage unit to collect a few things.
I bought a new door mat at Provincial and during a heavy downpour it leached out brown dye. Looks awful. Tried to remove it but didnít work. A trip to Bunnings to get some help.
Have advertised some more things to sell.
Finally got in touch with cabinet maker. Will come next week but wonít be doing anything until after Xmas.
Did the gardening , took 1 hour. !! Vacuumed whole house in 1/2 hour.
Was worried about BBQ , not to worry as everyone is doing it.
Neighbour from Invermay coming to visit this afternoon. She has been keeping an eye on Ral as she is an experienced cancer nurse. We are so very lucky.

It is worth checking out the Guardianís 20 best Christmas baking recipes.
Also made RTE chicken with creamy mustard sauce. The sauce is worth making to pour over steamed veggies.
The sherry would have taken it to a different level cookie, alcohol in cooking is great!
. Agree. I have a bottle of Apple Brandy. Will be sad when last crop used.

K Atie I feel for you with DML in hospital.
We have a very small area of lawn out the front of our new home. Ral said he would like to mow it. ,! So we bought an electric mower. All the clippings go into a Green Bin. ( new experience for us) He really isnít up to doing this , however it he wants to have a go this is good. Neighbours who drove by waved and gave him thumbs up.
The lift is wonderful. Best money we have ever spent, ( next to TMX of course. )  we go up and down frequently and I have set up a coffee/ tea station upstairs. Iíll try taking some videos and post.
Visited big shopping center,  10 minutes away.
We still need to reduce furniture. Sell or give away but needs to go.
