K Atie, we don’t mind the parrots, having what’s left.  We have picked nearly 100K.  I have worked out how to use the cherry plums.  If for jam, I cook with water, if sauce etc, I cook with vinegar and then put through Mouli.

I have a large pot of tomatoes cooking on the stove.  I will put them through the mouli and then freeze them.

I made some jam tarts. I had some short crust pastry leftover.

Cookie, did you make the pastry? They look delicious.
Mab, you are going gang busters with your tomatoes.
Yesterday made sausage rolls in Machine and cauliflower cheese pies with leftovers.
Might experiment with plum filling for the Belgium Tea Cake.

Chookie I have made the Lemon Belgium Cake using various fillings.  Apples, rhubarb, peaches, jam.  They all turn out well.

Yes Chookie, it’s just a short crust pastry I wiz up in the thermomix. 200g flour, 100g butter and 50g cold water. A pinch of salt too. I mix it until it barely comes together. Put it on some glad wrap and squish it together. Pop it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and use.

I do the flour and butter to breadcrumbs bit first.

Made a curried fennel salad yesterday - the fennel didn't have any of the aniseed taste (which I hate so have never purchased it before) and was very tasty so I was really pleased.  Further experimentation today with the rest of my vege box.

I’ve never eaten fennel because of the aniseed taste Marina. Yet I love liquorice- but don’t eat it any more.

Yesterday I made slightly different white SD loaf. It’s quite buttery and a lovely flavour.

It has a LEvian to be made the night before. It took all day to rise, but we did have the air con on.  I made it in the thermomix.
