Aussie wines certainly are expensive in Singapore. In March we had some Italian wines that was nice and not at all expensive.  Usually we don't bother for the short time we are up there.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Restaurants are ridiculously overpriced in WA. I've gone to those in Sydney and Melbourne and they're way better and much cheaper.
I've never been to the Loose Box, but I've heard the food is fantastic and it's booked out months ahead. He can probably charge what he likes because people are craving a decent restaurant meal. Very hard to find in WA!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
