I think I have an oops coming up. I decided to be a smarty pants and makes this lovely fruit loaf I saw on Taste. It hadn't risen after 4 hours so I dissolved some more yeast and kneaded it in. It is still looking awful, although has risen a bit.

Uh oh, I was cooking some spicy nuts and now I have burnt spicey nuts. I think it is time to stop before I ruin anything else.

Some days we should just sit with our feet up Cookie  ;)  I'm sure tomorrow will be much better for you.

Lovely Rose in the glass and sitting at the table on the iPad. Hopefully dinner will be edible. It's quite a joke really, I haven't had one of these days for ages. :) :)

Thanks Yvette. I have put a copy of this into salads.

Cookie here is the recipe this was given to me by the lovely consultant Lynette MacDonald hope it is ok that I posted this:

Marion Jordan's Famous Curry Coleslaw

1 small head of cabbage cut into large chunks
60g chopped shallots (green onions)
120g raisins
225g frozen peas
120g peanuts
30g chopped parsley
240g mayonnaise
5g-15g hot curry powder

Place parsley in TM bowl and chop on speed 10 for 4 seconds. Add all other ingredients to TM bowl and chop on speed 4 for 3 seconds. You will probably have to chop again on speed 4 for another second or two until you have the desired consistency.

NOTE: you may chop your ingredients on speed 5 for 3 seconds but you could end up with mush, so I err on the side of caution and use speed 4.

That recipe definitely deserves its own thread :)

I don't think I will ever get married. Only because it sounds like MIL's are either really wonderful or really not :-\
I'm happy with my mum and my DFM :D :D :D

My MIL is ok just lazy, always asks to help when it is done, I had christmas last year at my place with about 20 odd people, came to her tea and coffee time and she proceeded to make her and FIL coffee and not ask anyone else. I was disgusted. My mother offered and made the rest. Plus she did several other things which I wont get into since then I have been a lot less friendlier  :D :D :D
