Met up with friends for coffee this morning. Rule of six still in place until the 19th.
Totally absurd when there were 60,000 people at Wembley Stadium last night watching the football match but only 6 of us could meet for coffee this morning.  Where is the logic in that 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been working in the garden when the weather permits. Lots of heavy rain recently. DH has had to pump out excess water from our water harvesting tank as it was full. Still plenty to do in the garden, the weeds are plentiful.😳

I'm off for a haircut today. I look like the wild woman from somewhere.

My brother and his wife came for lunch. As it's still raining we had a thick vegetable soup and fresh bread rolls. Chookie's recipe with some oat bran and wholemeal flour in them.

Marina, I read that if you place lemons in a sealed plastic bag, in the fridge, they will last a month. I found lots of lemon recipes on my blog so will revisit them.  Chicken in lemon sauce ,cooked in Varoma tonight.

I throw a couple of whole lemons and limes in my freezer just in case I need them. I rarely ever do need them as my neighbour’s lemon tree hangs over my fence and keeps me supplied and my DD has several lime trees but I still like to have them on hand.

Our lemon tree is supposed to be a dwarf one, we do neglect it but it is thriving. I think it steals all the nutrients and water from the neighbour. It doesn't fruit all year though like our Eureka did.
We went to the dentist for our 6 monthly check up this morning. No repair work to be done.
I'm preparing everything to do the annual report on MIL. DD set me up some spreadsheets and I have been filling them in, so I hope it all goes smoothly.

I either lost a filling or took a chip off one of my teeth last night so I am hoping my dentist can take me as an emergency during lock down.

I hate it when that happens Marina. I hope you could get it seen to.
We were taken out for coffee this morning because of DH's birthday. 4 of us shared a lamington. Hilarious really.

They can be pretty big though cookie, when I used to buy them from Costco I sliced them like you would a cake. One slice ample with a cuppa when people used to enjoy a piece of cake, not many people I know want to eat cake these days.
