Katie, very frustrating. Sounds like you need a ‘ me’ day.
Cookie, that is cold for you. Good day for baking.
Today I’m having lunch with my DS and DBI at a restaurant. We will meet 1/2 way between our homes.

Thanks Cookie for sharing.
Our consultant showed my friend how to put ingredients from a recipe on to phone shopping list .
Yesterday I cooked 4 large chicken legs in 7. To make stock. Again it kept pushing the lid off. Problem solved by setting 7 to lid off program but placing lid back on. I set the machine at 1 hour, 100 degrees, gentle reverse. The lid off temperature has to be set at 100 or less.

mcmich I cooked with a friend yesterday, with the 7. Together we discovered lots of new processes. Have you tried the Soft Chinese Buns? They are on Cookidoo. If you haven’t got this, you can probably find it on line.

I received 2 vouchers from TMX. Selected from shop 2 rose colored baking tin. Quite heavy and good quality. Had difficulty deciding what to select as I have most of what was on offer. So ordered items for GD who as my 5.

Mab, you could also try the fruit fluff recipes. I make a mango one that everyone likes. Can use frozen mango.
I’m baking a lamb shank in the sauce from the beef and sweet potato stew.
Yesterday , with a friend, we made Portuguese tarts. Made the custard in the 7 but cut the cooking time down to 10 minutes. I compared the Cookidoo recipe with mine. My recipe is richer. Mine has cream and an extra egg yolk. We also made Brazilian Cheese Puffs from Cookidoo. This was the standard recipe.

Converted another recipe from SC book to TMX. This one was beef and sweet potato. All in TMX bowl, cooked 2 hours, 90 degrees and gentle reverse. Flavour good but too much liquid. I think with SC there is more evaporation. I will remove some of the liquid/ sauce and use it as a base for another dish. I’ll also add more veggies to the stew. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Marina, what a lot of interesting meals. Should last the week.
Yesterday cooked 23 SD crumpets and 3 jars of Orange and Whiskey Marmalade.
I also made the Chicken and Peanut Curry from my new book. A friend called in so I asked her to try it. She loved it. The recipe was for the slow cooker but I cooked it in the Varoma. So easy. Just put everything in a covered dish in the Varoma and steam for 1 hour. 1/2 recipe made 3 meals with rice. The serve that was left over I’ve added carrot and zucchini to.
If I can find time, I’ll put the recipe on the Forum.
