DS decided to use his elbow to flatten the dough  ;D   Turn out beautiful, took them to swimming lesson to share with friend and save enough for DD's lunch box.   Yum yum....  we made two savoury (cheese, soy rasher and cheese) and two sweet options (malteser, nuttella with sliced banana).

I made these last night/today. After the first proof I rolled and filled them, brushed with egg and then put them in the fridge overnight. I took them out of the fridge for about an hour and a half before cooking them (it wasn't a warm morning). They were absolutely delicious. Everyone loved them and they were gone in no time at all. I filled them with salami, tasty and mozzarella cheese, with a smear of my veggie packed pizza sauce. Turned out a perfect size, I made each lump of dough 50g.

Made a sweet filling this time - apple, cinnamon and walnuts with creme patisserie, and mango with creme patisserie. Very very nice. I wonder how they would freeze?

Don't know how I missed these,  then I looked at the date and realized we were in South Africa.  Will certainly make.  What I usually do in make small crispy round rolls, cut off top and remove some of the crumb and fill with curry mince.  Thanks for the recipe and the bounce.
