Cookie, beautiful trees and so green in first photos.
We are in Melbourne and staying at the Swanston hotel.  They have renovated some of the rooms, ( and the price). They are very nice.  We love being right in the centre of the city.

It looks very green over your way, Cookie.

Enjoy Melbourne, Chookie.

Beautiful photos Cookie.

I have been doing some laundry and cleaning as we are going to Lakes Entrance for a few days.

Everyone is taking off some place, a perfect time to do so with an improvement in weather.  I had a lovely day touring through the hills, stopping here and there for coffee, lunch, browsing the shops.  My friend knew the area like the back of her hand as her Grandparents and a lot of their family lived up there in the early days.  I had no idea where I was most of the time!

It’s green 75% of the time down here in the south west corner Marina. It’s really lovely.
Today we left Manjimup and headed north east up into Wheatbelt areas. About 200km. We are in Wagin tonight. The home of the big ram. They have a big Woolarama here every year.

Chookie I agree that being in the centre of Melbourne is good. I haven’t been over for ages. I’ll have to chase DD to see if she is heading to any conferences over there.

Judy, your day sounds lovely. The Adelaide hills are beautiful. DH knows them quite well as he did some of his National Service up at Woodside army camp.

It was a perfect day for it cookie, we had lunch at a restaurant in Woodside which we both enjoyed. Apparently next time we are heading for Gawler for the day then on another occasion up to Kadina. It was nice to sit back and enjoy the countryside whilst she did the driving!

It sounds lovely Judy.
We spent last night in Wagin. Then this morning we got a call that MIL was refusing to take her medication!!!  It turned out that the nursing home had requested it be crushed by the pharmacy.  This was an error by the nursing home. I’m not sure why they rang us, maybe they thought we could make it take it! However she knew it wasn’t right and refused. They eventually said they would get more from the chemist that wasn’t crushed-at MIL’S cost.  DH wasn’t too impressed but she has to have it.  We didn’t want to have to sit on her and force her mouth open .
So it’s all sorted now.

At the moment our nursing home is calling us for very minor problems cookie, eg changing his patch a day late. The RN also tried to ring DH’s doctor to inform him too so I queried her as to why they needed to do that.  It’s all to do with the Oakden problem, they now have to inform us of every tiny little detail.  Seems silly to me for minor things but they are only following orders.

I'd much rather they call us Judy, it keeps us in the loop. I must admit MIL's nursing home has always been excellent with letting us know of any changes at all.

This morning we drove GD to station so she could catch train to Melbourne.  The train was full so that attached another few carriages.
A small town near us was having a Spring Festival. It was lovely.  Lots of stalls in their Bot Gardens.
It is nice to see everyone so busy.
On Friday, a friend was celebrating her Birthday.  We were invited to an amazing Seafood lunch.
