One arm on my glasses needs to be repaired again this will be the fourth time so now I just hold the pieces together with a clear bandaid, it works well, can hardly be seen and is much cheaper  :o

That's really poor MAB. If they can't repair it in 3 goes, they should offer a replacement pair.

Is there a limit to how many times they’ll fix your arms Margaret or are arms not included in the free service?

I don't know Judy.  I have had these glasses for a couple of years now so they will be well out of warranty by now.

Mab, like your solution.   A few years ago I had to Super Glue the arm on to one pair of glasses. I have a very strong feeling that they build in faults so you need to replace them. Absolutely hate this.

Lots of small jobs and cooking to prepare for our week away.  Cantucci biscuits . We are hosting a lunch for work colleagues at our beach cabin.  I will buy take a way chickens and rolls , ( fancy buying rolls! ) and guests are bringing salads. The cabin has no oven. Cheese and fruit platter for sweets.

Margaret the people who make my glasses don't mind fixing arms no matter how long you have had them. All over Australia too. I remember we were in FNQ and an asrm came off. DH fixed it with the wire from a twisty tie until we could get to a larger town. It was quite effective too.

Looks like arms are the weakness for glasses.

Back to work today - quite busy, glad to catch up with work mates.

It's 9.30 am here so not a lot done as yet. DH has gone off to transfer his brother's share of the house to his partner and I'm doing the little bit of ironing as its cool.
I have a fruit loaf rising at the moment.

Isn’t it great when our neighbours can step up for jobs like that so that you can have some time away. I’m sure the girls will reward him/her with enough eggs to keep them going.

Kind neighbours Chookie.

We took the caravan to the repair place yesterday. Got caught in a hail storm just outside Kempsey on the way back from the Gold Coast. Quite a bit of damage to the roof.
It's quite the procedure - the repair man took pictures that he will send to the insurance company. Then an independent assessor will come to veiw the damage, then the insurance company will give approval for the work to go ahead. We are booked in for the the 4th June  :o  to have the work done providing approval is given. I hope it is approved because we had to pay the excess up front.

Michele that is bad luck with the hail on your Caravan.   We had the same happen to our car a few years back. We sat in a restaurant and watched the hail make dents all over the roof and bonnet. Very expensive repair job but covered by insurance.
That seems a long time to wait to have it fixed.
Judy we are lucky to have very nice neighbours here at Invermay.

Happy Birthday to you Dad Obbie :)

Bad luck with your caravan Mcmich.  I agree with Cookie, that seems an awful long time to wait for it to be fixed.
