When I have a long wait I put the phone on speaker mode cookie then I can get on with other things, even if it's browsing the forum.

They should do what our phone/ internet provider does. They tell you  when they will call you back, if they say an hour, it is usually spot on!

I really hate that. Like JD I put the phone on speaker.

Very smart to put the phone on speaker JD.
I have just finished 7 loads of washing, having come home from camping. Rained 2 out of the 3 days we were at Forster. Still lovely. We relaxed and read, went to the antique shops - bought nothing, thank goodness, just enjoyed the experience.

We are all too busy to be wasting time hanging on the end of a phone girls.  I sometimes do what Katj suggested too if I'm given that option as it works well.

There's always something you can do when camping, even if it's wet Michele. Geoff and I never minded being 'van-bound' if it was too wet to even go outside. We played scrabble - nowadays with computers and iPads, we'd probably be doing different things.

I guess I should have done that Judy, I didn't think of it. I actually find it easier to get in the car and drive there. I read 2 magazines and checked everything I could think of on the computer.

Mich I am glad you enjoyed the camping. I think it is just being away and in the great outdoors, even if it is wet.

Today is my last day as permanent part time at work. I've decided to go casual as we will be doing a lot more travelling now and I think it is a good time for me to wind down a bit.
I would like to do 2 shifts a week to keep my hand in and don't think it will be a problem to get the work.
As it turns out our weekend away in the rain was a blessing in disguise as we found a couple of leaks and a few other minor things that don't work. The camper trailer goes back to Jayco today for repairs. I was surprised to get in so fast as other campers told that Jayco isn't known for its after sale service.

That's great to hear Michele, just get out there and enjoy yourselves as much as you can.  Thankfully your van will be fixed of all the little problems and ready to go on your new adventures.

Our van is a Jayco Mich. We had a few problems but always found them great for warranty work.
Enjoy your wonderful new life. Hopefully we will see you 'on the road' somewhere. Maybe Gayle will be there too.  :D ;D

Mich try and use your van a lot while it is under warranty get it all sorted.    My DD called in for a half hour this morning sent her on her way with a fresh batch of Penne from the Pasta  Machine, she was impressed. ;)

Thanks girls  ;D
Cookie, DH took the camper back today and we only expected to have the major problem fixed, which is we can't wind it up but they asked how long they could keep it and DH said 2-3 weeks so everything will get sorted for us. We are very impressed with the service.
That's very good advice AB - use it as much as possible to get the wrinkles ironed out while it is under warranty.

It is a lovely new time in our lives and we are very grateful to be in a position to travel around.  :D

It may have been my last permanent day today but I'm back at work tomorrow for my first casual shift LOL. I'm going to have to be strong and say no.
