We had a lovely meal at Pier19 last night. A trio of lamb, A salmon dish and a whole shoulder of lamb served for two.

Sorry  the pics are very dark. Should have used my iPhone not my IPad.

Gert, again great food and scenery. Thanks for sharing with us all.

Maddy, sounds liked you have raised a great girl, she will have an amazing time and she will learn so much from the trip. While travel is scary when you are not used to it, if you look at the statistics (I'm more a practical analytical person) the incident of something happening while travelling is actually lower than driving at home. She will love the extra independence and it will be over before you know it.

BZB, you have amazingly talented children, well done to DS

Chookie, that restaurant sounds great. There are so many rural restaurants doing wonderful food, just a shame they don't always get the attention they deserve.

Gert, looks beautiful.  How are you coping with the cooler weather, 2deg!  New Zealand  is a postcard at every corner, love to visit again especially looking at your photos.
DH's family for lunch today. His new favourite is Karens pulled pork so it's on the menu together with a roast beef on the BBQ with satay sauce and salads.  DD has made some beautiful macarons and Chookies  Swedish icecream cheesecake ( another of his new favourites) for dessert.
That is the only problem with this wonderful forum, too many new favourites!

Enjoy the birthday celebrations for your DH and his family today Denise, wish him a happy birthday from me.  Is it a special birthday or are all birthdays special in your house?

Lovely photos Gert, nice to see you are doing some fine dining along the way.

I loved the gondola ride Gert. Does your living area have a glass ceiling or roof?  Beautiful photos.

I'm doing car club stuff. Trying to make sure that what we have planned will not cost more than the money we have.  :-\ we have done this before and worked it all out so it should be ok. A few sponsors are very slow in coming up with the money.
