DH will have a great  time and so will I.

Yes Judy I have read all three books and they are quite humorous. DH started working  for QF  in 1946  and has seen many changes and been through many reorganisations many of which he mentions in the books. Qantas is no longer the flying Kangaroo it was in the past and is now almost indistinguishable from it's competitors.  No wall paper with ancients maps of Australia and upstairs lounges where there was much frivolity. No more flower vases filled with wattle in the toilets.

Some people may remember the Fiesta route to London and the fantastic overnight stay in San Francisco on route to NYC? Ah those were the days when flying was fun.

That must have kept him busy for a long time Gert.  Nothing stays the same, the saying 'the good old days' is true but we have to move with the times or be left behind.

Gert, first and final warning...

DO. NOT. MENTION. THE. C. WORD!  :o :o

Puleease. Can we just get through June already?

I am puppy proofing my house and have given up on the 5 acres outside. Way too many things to put away! Will just have to wing it when he gets here.  ;D

Can't wait to see puppy pics. There is no way you can puppy proof a house!!!!!  Certainly not the floor. Hope you don't  have carpet.

Tomorrow will be here soon enough and I'll post pics. Probably of us curled up in the foetal position in the dog beds and him running riot in the house!

Not worried about the floor, tiles and timber, it'll survive.

Just making sure there are no cords anywhere, don't want him to chew one and get sparky!

Gert, I would only add one thing to the book and chook. Some nice cheese.

Ha ha obbie - lucky you are on the other side of the country!

I'm exhausted due to our new addition...

"Chilli" arrived today. Our Labrador, weighing in at about 6 kilos at 8 weeks of age!

he is sooooo cute, has the sharpest teeth and is asleep, so we are all running around doing the things we can't do while he is awake! It is like having a new baby in the house  ;D
