Thinking of you Obbie. Hope all is well.

Bad luck about the plumbing Mab.

Cloudy here today. Need to clear up hedge trimmings.
Got a coffee morning and some open gardens nearby, which I hope to get to. Not much usually happens around here!
DH is digging a trench for cables with a machine.
My sister is bringing my mother for one night so she can see the changes. She has recovered from her radiotherapy and is doing better now which is GREAT news.

that happened to me a few months ago, but luckily the next door neighbor helped me mop up and teenage neighbor boys on the other side took care of the plumbing. happens cos nowadays builders opt out of copper piping and use cheaper stuff that just bursts  >:( the part to fix mine was only a couple of dollars but if I hadn't have wondered what the funny sound was coming from the ensuite it would have been thousands dollars in damaged floorboards

We were told some time ago that it is best if you  have the mixer taps to replace the flexible pipe underneath every 10 years or so.  Apparently they break down on the inside & leak.   :-))  They don't make things like they use to

What a ghastly mess to have to clean up mab.
Marie we have mixer taps and our house is almost 10 years old. I will have to make DH aware of this.
