Suzanne - thanks.. the cough is still around - just not as bad as it's been for a few weeks.  Honestly, it got to a stage where I thought it was never going to end. :-)) ???

DJ - glad to hear you're a little better.  Do rest up and take extra care of yourself. :)

CP - thanks for the photos of the Melbourne get together.  It's always great to see pix of these special events and to see everyone obviously having a great time! :)

Judy - your garden will look an absolute picture when all that colour comes out! :)

Judy your garden will look so bright and cheery. No rain around here yet so no annuals going in.

Danger - Rant following!

Today I have been trying to regain my sanity after having to deal with a certain gov organisation that owes us a refund but is doing its very best to keep the money by throwing all kinds of obstacles our way >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I am a fairly even tempered, reasonable person (I think!) but after dealing with organisation I can see why some people totally lose it.
So now the 28 day wait begins to see what happens next. Grrrr

That was a fairly mild rant Gayle. I bet they don't fulfil their 28 day obligation. They drive you crazy.
How is the absent uni student going? How is the Mum coping?  :D

She is loving living on campus thanks Cookie. I do miss her but I get phone calls every day  ;D. The most recent covered how to tell if an avocado is ripe, do you put butter with it on toast, can you wash jeans and towels together and how can you freshen a musty smelling carpet  :D :D :D

I have so many funny stories about my DD's and DS's when they left home. They truly were all so naive about life as we as mums had done everything for them so they didn't really have to think for themselves about the realities of running a home. LOL  what a reality check they had!!
Very excited as I just booked my flights to Hobart for Forum Fest. . Very exciting. Qantas had really good deals yesterday so all done here. Now need to book hotel. :)

MF how much is a good price from Perth?

Just spent 4 nights with DD1 in Melbourne. Didn't go near a supermarket but I've started making a little box of things that I think she needs. I was pretty impressed tho with the apartment setup. I was going to buy them a table cloth but didn't know if that was too old fashioned as they had place mats. Sometimes tablecloths just seem to "lift" the table to the next level and cover some sins.

CP One way was starting from $318 with Qantas depending on the flight times. I paid $318 Perth  to Hobart and $326 on the Hobart to Perth sector. Still have to book the hotel but flights now locked in.  :D

That is a good price. Last time I looked it was about $800 return.
