Not to mention Little House on the Prairie. My daughter loved those books. I loved the series with Michael Langdon, Melissa Sue Anderson (my daughter Melissa-Anne was named after her) and Melissa Gilbert. Also, Love Comes Softly Series is a nice journey back to pioneer American Days.  :D Think I was born in the wrong generation or maybe not - wouldn't want to be without my TMX.  :D

You got me on that one DJ, couldn't think of the right name for the suspenders/braces.  ;D

Hmmm 3 men and a powerful machine, I'm going to leave that right alone....

It is hot here again today, I think I need to stick my head in the fridge to cool down ;) ;)

I meant to add that I went to the movies today and saw "The Book Thief". I must admit I shed a tear, but I enjoyed it.
A real story, real actors (I like Geoffrey Rush)  and no animated cartoon characters that all look the same as movies in days gone by.
Yes I admit I am over seeing kids movies, the last one I went to I sent the girls in and I went shopping! What a bad Mum I am!!

I know what you mean Nikkit. Last time we went, DH took the kids to see the animated movie and I went to see Meryl Streep in August: Osange county by myself.  I'd like to see the Book  Thief too.

DD and I rarely go to the pictures, but we went to see Philomena, with Judi Dench and Steve Coogan on the weekend.
It was a superb film, the acting was excellent, and it was a great story - funny, sad and heartwarming at the same time. It is based on a true story.
As soon as we got home, I ordered the book from book depository. :)

I will be interested in you review of the book Sue as there is much controversy over the focus of the movie on Philomena's story rather than on Michael's story as is the book.

Wasn't there a big barn raising scene in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers?

Well the shed is progressing and most of the rafters went on today. Roof hopefully on tomorrow, then we are almost watertight.
After feeding and checking the sheep I was washing, ironing, cleaning, cooking and making phone calls: car service, heating fuel, what to best preserve the wood with in this wet climate etc etc.
Emails etc.

Here are the manglewurzels .....

Here is what I chop them with.

And here are the sheep eating them
