DJ I hope you come home with the winnings side very heavy.

GHM and Suzanne I'm sure the days will fly. Suzanne I feel for your DS trying to play footy. I hope he won.

Very slack day here, my chest muscles are so sore from yesterday's sneezing it almost hurts to move. We ended up having McDonald's for dinner last night. DH said he had it all taken care of. Then he got out in the shed and promptly forgot all about it! Gotta love 'em.

It's always a good day at the races even if you don't win. Dressing up, a glass of bubbly. All good fun.  :D
I do still hope you come home with some winnings.

Got to sleep in then went shopping for ingredients for my cooking adventures today. Making a Beef Stew with Buttermilk Dumplings tonight for dinner. Hope it goes ok.

No cooking today, except for pancakes in the morning.

We attended the WA Pianists Competition Winners Concert this afternoon, as DS11 was invited to perform. He won the Grade 8 recital section earlier this week.

He played a very beautiful Nocturne by Chopin at his recital, but he chose to play the other piece for the Winners Concert :)

Well done. You must be so proud. What a wonderful job he did.  I had a look at some of the other you tube clips, very talented boy you have there.

I had never played piano but started piano lessons last year. I'm up to grade 1......:D :D D :D D :D

Congratulations to your son.  He must be so excited - we will look forward to hearing of him and seeing his name at concerts in the future.

I skipped out of work early to relieve grandma from school holiday babysitting. Now sitting in the park watching my boy on the climbing web. Interestingly I also made a rather funky mouth guard for someone with a brain injury. Very satisfying.
