Sometimes the fellas do the dished Gert, but only sometimes. Usually if one fella starts lots will join in.

Dad was a Freemason and they had a ball that they called 'Ladies Night'. It was a pretty posh do as I remember Mum buying a one off gown for it when Dad was the top boy for that year. The women were waited on for that. The men went in and prepared the hall the day before, did all the supper and served it all, then the next day went in and cleaned the hall etc. that was back in the 50's and 60's. the kids used to help or hinder on the clean up day.

I spent the morning chatting to Jeninwa, kt2 and her cute son and Mama Fergie. Thanks ladies.
This afternoon we had visitors so I spent time talking to them. A very talkative day.

It was lovely catching up again cookie, and lovely meeting Mama Fergie and Kt2 and her lovely son.
We should do it more often.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

I went into the city this morning for the final pre tests before I undergo the study I have volunteered for. All was ok so I came home laden with a BP monitor, a very large bottle for collecting stuff :P and the Beetroot juice that may or may not carry the nitrates they are testing. I actually start next Saturday.

The study is to see if nitrates help in lowering blood pressure. For 2 out of 4 weeks I will drink 2 x 35ml of organic beetroot juice. One week it will carry a placebo and the other it will have nitrates in it. During those weeks I have to take my blood pressure 5 times of an evening at rest, wear a 24 hour blood pressure monitor and collect 24 hours of urine. (the big bottle  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[). That is the 2nd and 4th weeks. The 2 in the middle are so that all traces of the beetroot juice and whatever it carried are gone from your system.
I had blood tests etc for it a couple of weeks ago and a physical this morning. A thorough health check. I am finding it interesting and the Dr doing it has promised me that he will tell me the findings.
I was surprised at the beetroot juice as it is 70ml bottles and is imported from England, and called Beet it, stamina shot. take up to 24 hours before exercise. I don't know if I will be running round full of energy. ;) ;)

Cookie does it say what else is in the beetroot juice, did you tell him you can make your own Fresh Beetroot juice.  I better start drinking some I need some energy.
