Driving from Adelaide to Melbourne to visit family today ...... Got up early and left at 440am - the whingeing from the kids started at 610am:-))
Haven't found a service station open yet to get a coffee
It's going to be a long day

It's such a long trip for little ones Karen, let's hope they fall asleep and help make the travelling time go faster.  I can remember ours when they were young 'are we nearly there'.  Good luck with keeping them amused and have a great holiday.

Ahhhhh - that's better!!   Roadhouse breakfast with 2 coffees each 

About to explore Bordertown, which is where I was born and lived until I was 7 - but have not been back here for over 20 years.  So many things still look familiar though!   About to go and look at the house my father built (he was a carpenter) himself.  Wish I could knock on the door and introduce myself to the current owner and maybe look round the garden, but that's a bit cheeky!
Then off to find a playground for the kids for a while

Same today, relaxing, poor dh at work. Eb arrives in 2 hours.

Have a lovely trip Karen. 
We are just relaxing at the moment.
Had the two older GD's and friends staying over last night as well as GS aged 9.
A n unexpectedly busy boxing day with half of the family over for dinner until late. 14 of us but it was lovely.
DH just made breakfast for all of us. 
Heading up to Moore River as DS 1 has a holiday home there. Just going for the day but GS going to stay for a few days.
We are taking 2 eldest GD's out for dinner as GD1 has been working 9 days straight in the restaurant so she missed out on Christmas 
Poor love she arrived home  from work christmas night at 11pm and asked her mum for the food that she was to bring home from Christmas dinner at our place. My DD forgot to take it with her. GD was gutted!!!

I've been in to town with my youngest daughter this morning to check out the sales.  Bought some of my skin care products a 1/2 price & a pair of shoes for me & a pair for Maeve, my daughter.
By noon town was too busy for us so we've buggered off and are reclining (again) back at home.

Arrived at the holiday rental yesterday, unpacked, went to the beach, then to friends for dinner who are staying nearby. This morning went shopping for snorkel set for DD because she forgot hers, and a beach chair for me! Then lovely day at the beach with friends. Now kids are watching a DVD & I've just finished a book. Will go out shortly for fish and chips!

Sounds like we are all relaxing - at the end of another year, why not, we all deserve the rest.  Enjoy these leisurely days, I certainly am.
