Today my DH and I spent the afternoon at Judy's, sharing some of JD's wonderful food and a few pre-Xmas bubbles with Judy and Geoff.  It was a lovely afternoon  :D

It was a lovely afternoon indeed and it's so nice to have visitors who try a bit of everything.  We were spoilt rotten with gifts as usual - Katie comes up with some great ideas.  Thanks guys.

And we were spoilt in return. We needed a box to get all our lovely things out to the car. Judy is very generous!

I've just been reading one of my new cookbooks, it looks great! Thanks JD xx

Sounds lovely Katie. I've done washing, made MJ's cooked mayo and another batch of cranberry and pistachio Christmas. I've fed the neighbour's bunnies and made my niece a sparky pink fairy skirt for Christmas with remnants from spotlight   About to cook hamburgers for dinner

You all put me to shame. I had coffee with a friend this morning. Made some fruit mince tarts and spent the afternoon with my very dear 90 year old friend exchanging Christmas gifts.

Katie you will have to share the name of your new cookbook with us and tell us if it is good, bad or indifferent.

About to start sorting the house out, cleaning, tidying, sorting ready for Xmas. Laundry. Cooking, but only after other jobs done!
It is just as it was last weekend.

Right, must do it!

Sounds like you had a wonderful afternoon Cookie  :D

I have 3 new cookbooks. From my SS - Grace's Sweet Life, a book on homemade Italian desserts.  I have a soft spot for all things Italian and I love making desserts, so I perfect book for me, thanks again SS!

And 2 from a very dear friend - The Fabulous Baker Brothers (a book based on the UK TV series I've been enjoying lately on Foxtel) and Mary Berry's Desserts (I love Mary Berry).

I noticed in the Baker Brothers book a sourdough recipe where they suggest serving 2 slices of sourdough toast with scrambled eggs and Gentleman's Relish (which I have thanks to Chookie  :D)

I will have to get back to you on whether they are good, bad or indifferent  ;D
