Love the pot Vieve, how long has it taken you to get to that stage?  So many talented people on this forum.

Your cat looks so comfy ES  ;D

Today I discovered there is such a thing as too much fudge!  Every year I make something like fudge for Xmas gifts for everyone at my work.  This year DH asked me if I could make some for his work as well.  Of course I said.

After spending hours and hours and hours making fudge the last few days, along with 2 1/2 hours tonight putting it into cellophane bags with ribbons and gift tags, I'm officially over fudge.  My back is killing me  :-[

I just made one batch Katie, it makes quite a bit so I can imagine how much you had to bag up.  I decided today I was done with savoury things so have moved onto the sweet things but even then I will get to the point where enough is enough.

So you don't want me to put out any fudge when you come to afternoon tea on Saturday  :D :D

I'd probably still eat it JD  ;D

I still have the batches I made tonight to bag up tomorrow night, it's never ending.  Why do we do these things  ???

Judy, so glad that your grandies appreciate you - what a beautiful note. They are the ones you treasure for sure.
My Grandma must have learned her technique (sp?) for stopping kids from fighting from her teachers too. Something about those "old days" when kids were to be seen not heard. My grandfather (the grumpy old sod) was a stickler for that. He's been gone about 20 years now and I don't miss him one bit!
My Grandma has mellowed some - now that she is 90 - and we give her a bit of cheek about what she used to do to us. Must admit - we do it from a distance as I reckon she'd still crack our heads together given half the chance!
It has made me discipline my kids differently thats for sure!

It's better to be remembered as the grandma who let you do anything (virtually) and whom you had fun with than a stern old grandma who was no fun at all.  Both my grandmothers were great with children, my Dad's Mum was my favourite though - she lived in the city and my other nana lived in the country.

Just 'cos it is Christmas Katie. I am doing things in the reverse order Judy, just sent the 12th day of sweets with DH to work.  I changed the traditiion last year of sending a selection of sweets on the last day, all staff found that they then could not enjoy the staff lunch at one of the restuarants, now I send 2 different things each day for the 12 working days, tomorrow will be almond bread and a Christmas log (with choc ripple biscuits and a cherry cream)

Yes because it's Xmas and we love doing it. Everyone at work loved their fudge which made me happy.

Wow Robyn, the staff at your DH's work must love you - 12 days of sweets to devour. What a mammoth effort.  Everyone at my work loves you too, as I used your cookies & cream and salted caramel fudge recipes 😃
