JD after a while you acclimatise. We lived in Port Hedland for a while and you get used to it. Often you are only out in the heat to get from your conditioned house into your air conditioned car and the to your are conditioned work.

If you get used to it DD, it appears you can't live without your air conditioner  ;D  I lived in Darwin for 2 years around 40 years ago and hated every minute of it unless it was pouring with rain.  When it stopped though, that was a different matter - muggy & sticky. The rain was at least cooling whilst it was coming down. I can't remember how often during the day I used to hop under a cold shower. I could well understand why they paid you extra to live in places like that - I wonder if they still do.

I love the heat too, I can't ever get warm in winter  :-))

Today I have done all the washing, made all the beds, cleaned the bathrooms and dd and I did some gluing.

Was going to go to the shops for some morning tea  but the weather here is truly horrible wet, thunder, lightning and very windy they are saying about 100km winds. I thought we had seen the last of this strange weather oh well at least I fertilised my lawn last night in time for the rain  ;D
Maybe we can make some gingerbread men instead

I don't mind the heat but hate humidity. I love the changing of the seasons that's why I love Melbourne so much - 4 seasons in one day!

We are soft compared to the pioneers. They lived in places like Darwin, Port Hedland and Broome with no Air conditioning. I can manage  the heat or the cold it doesn't really matter to me. I am not fond of the humidity you get in Darwin, Broom and along the Pilbara coast.

I had an appointment in the city this morning then did a bit more Xmas shopping... and I just had to pop into myer's as someone had given me a gift voucher!
