Well, as I expected, I spent the entire evening cleaning - just not what I had hoped to be cleaning. I came home from work, all excited, planning on cleaning our new kitchen.  Instead I came home to find the inside of our existing house covered in a thick layer of concrete dust.

Karen, I would be so mad too, it is so frustrating when tradespeople cut corners.  We recently had new wooden flooring, there was a big smudge in it so we called them back to re sand and polish, he sanded Without vacuuming first and then put polish on.  When it was dry i noticed that all the dust and bits that were on the floor before he started were then permanently varnished into the floor.  He had  to come back and do it a third time!!!

Amy, so glad you are enjoying your job.

jD you certainly have catered well for you DH and carers, you deserve your time away,

I am looking forward to hearing all about retreat from you lucky ladies who are going.

I have just finished week 2 of new job, going ok.  Few more days until DH and two of DDs Go to England for three weeks. I wish I was going now.....bit of a long story why I am not.  But can't feel sorry for myself, I havnt got plane ticket or time  off work so I will just have to get on with it!!!

Throw yourself into your job GHM, go out with your friends, pamper yourself with a massage or facial, fill the freezer and before you know it, they will be back home.  Hindsight is always too late isn't it?  We are here for you if you need to talk to someone whilst they are away  ;)

BBQ with friends, that sounds good Robyn :)

Its lovely weather down here in Albany too MF, I'm going for a bike ride later ;D

We did the usual grocery shopping this morning, then checked out the Red Cross Op Shop since I don't have many clothes or much money. I got about 15 things for $50 ;D Also noticed a flyer advertising a fundraising bake sale, so left my number for the organiser to call since she was out on lunch break. I'm always looking for reasons to cook ;) ;)

Lawns all mowed, did some weeding, washed all DS clothes from being away a week (he wears more clothes than a girl) :D
Then dealt with a 12 year old girl who got hit in the head with a metal object and was bleeding lots, after a search through her hair and a bit of a clean up finally found a small cut (no stitches needed) its amazing how much a cut on the head can bleed. :D

Poor thing has a splitting head ache, and no she's not mine but my DDs friend and next door neighbor. Her mum wasn't home at the time so they all turned up here.

Yep one of the kids threw a metal think from the train line up in the air and it come down on top of her head. Ouchy. :(
Took me ages to try and find where the bleeding was coming from as the blood had started to dry and he hair was all stuck together. Her mum come and picked her up and rang the medical help line to see what to do. But only a small cut, she just has to be carful for a few hours and watch her.
