We had these the other night and loved them. I made the garlic butter some time before and froze the little flat balls of it. I used them from frozen to put in the chicken. It oozed (what a lovely word) out as you cut the chicken.
Thermomixer you must have thermomix eyes. I didn't see it. Perhaps I need to stop looking at what is going on and look in the background. Mark Best had some of the contestants for a meal at his restaurant.
I'd love an enormous pantry. The house my brother bought over east when he shifted has a long narrow room running behind the kitchen that is the pantry. It is amazing with doors at both ends. I could fill that so easily.
Welcome Leesyh, DH and 'the whizz.' It sounds as though you are really enjoying your TMX, keep it up. Lots of lovely tried and true recipes on this forum. Don't worry about asking questions, everyone on here is willing to help and most of us still find out new things even after owning a machine for some time.
Hi Vhanna. I can only agree with everything that has been said. I have always liked cooking but never liked standing over the stove stirring things. We were pretty much meat and 3 veg people with the occasional curry and pasta dishes with a stir fry for luck. I rarely make the same thing twice now ,except for family favourites. I still cook using other methods but that is through choice. I now make everything from scratch because I can. No more preservatives, and I can say our health certainly seems better for not having them. We are both retired. To buy or not to buy is a choice only you can make. I hope you decide to as it can add a lot to your life.
Hi from a Perthite SueJen. I'm sure you'll love cooking with your thermomix when it arrives. More soup weather than sorbet at the moment though. Let us know how your dishes turn out.
My DH hates eating in restaurants. I love it. He never did as a child as his folks were misplaced persons after the war and money was very very tight for quite some time. I guess they also had the language barrier too. Hence I cook when we travel. It's usually in the van so that's fine. DD and I try to make up for it when we travel.
DD won a pizza oven and we find it very good. I bought my brother a Breville one and found it very disappointing. I use it for Naan bread as well as pizzas. Ours is the same as Julies.
