I’m pleased you enjoyed it Chookie.

You are all so right about the spoiled bird. He yells if his cage isn’t opened up in the morning for him, but then won’t come out. 😏😏😏😏😏
Our budgie isn’t well at the moment. He hasn’t been singing and talking for a while but was eating and drinking. He's very withdrawn at the moment and seems very unsteady when he is awake-fine when he is asleep.  I asked DD if she was going to replace him if he died, she was very sheepish, but I have no doubt she will.

Do you use the Fig and Fennel Paste like any other fruit paste K Atie?

Katie, that does sound interesting.  I have a small amount of figs, thought I’d make fig and ginger jam.
Making Lasagne to freeze. Will use grilled eggplant instead of pasta sheets.

I made some little Rice Tarts yesterday from a site on the internet.  They were lacking something and I won't make them again.  A friend took them home to her DH, she will spred them with jam and give them to him for supper. :)

Edit    My friend says her DH thinks they are lovely.  The jam was a hit.

Yes use fig and fennel paste same as others . Wrapped in plastic and into a flat decor container in the fridge . Love Dani Valent's fig and lime jam too , hope to have enough to make this soon .
